Zinc and Bromate Removal from Contaminated Groundwaters

A feasibility study was carried out to investigate the ability of ClearEarth material to extract metallic (zinc) and non-metallic (bromate) pollutants from surface waters at a former industrial site in southern England. Although other problem species are present these were regarded as priority targets for site remediation.

The study clearly demonstrated that the ClearEarth product was highly effective in extracting zinc and bromate contaminants from surface waters so as to meet discharge levels stipulated by the UK Environment Agency
